What's a smashed burger?
A ball of beef hits a screaming-hot griddle and gets pressed flat — hard. That contact gives every patty deep-brown, crispy, lacy edges while the middle stays juicy. Stack two, add melted cheese, tuck it into a toasted brioche bun. That's it. That's the whole secret.
